LVIL rules…   To maintain the membership Once admitted, each member must submit at least 2 valid investment ideas per year. A previos posted idea will only be accepted after one month has elapsed since the idea was first submitted. Each member has to evaluate every year at least 8 investment ideas submitted by other members. Members who fail to comply with the requirements above will be suspended and its membership will become available for someone else.   Confidentiality Real names will not be used in the LVIL, anonymity is of the essence. Each member must choose a non-transferable ID and password. In order to keep confidentiality, your ID must not be or contain your name or company name. About the Investment ideas It should be no more than a 2,000 word explanation of your investment idea. The idea must be equity based and either long or short. We prefer ideas of companies whose operations are based in Latam and follow US accounting standards.    Valid investment idea   After submitting your investment idea, other members will evaluate it on a scale of 1 to 10. Every idea rated less than 2 will be removed form the website. The member who submit it is then entitle to post a new idea. The idea can be post right before the previous one is removed, or later, in order to achieve the 2 idea per year mark.   If the idea is not rated by none of the members of the LVIL, the committee will then decide, at its own discretion, the ranking of this specific idea. Evaluation of ideas   In order to maintain your membership, you must choose to evaluate 8 ideas, posted by other members per year. The ranking goes from 1 to 10, being 1 a very bad idea and 10 an excellent idea. If a member rates an idea very poorly or very highly, some commentary is expected by the other members. There is no need to publicly declare or explain your rating, however, pointing out some flaws or errors in an idea rated "1" or "2" will help the author of the idea to submit a better work next time.   Networking between members   Once an idea is posted, others members will be able to post comments about it. Answering questions posted to your idea is an important part of good membership.
